Issue Position

As state representative, I will support increased state funding to local school districts, and oppose measures that impose unfunded mandates on local public school districts. .

I want to see more parental involvement with our children's education.

I intend to seek state pay raise for educators in order to keep and attract the best teachers in South Texas and state's public schools.

I want to ensure that the state provides affordable and quality health insurance to retired teachers and their spouses, and protect their pensions. They took care of us and now it's time we took care of them.
