Letter to Constituents

Thank You!

Dear Friend:

Thank you.

All across our state, Rhode Islanders took to the polls in great numbers and made their voices heard.

I am honored to have your trust and to serve as your Senator

It is a privilege that is humbling, and I will keep fighting for the kinds of things that every Rhode Islander wants: a decent job with a decent paycheck, a tax code that works for the middle class, investments in our infrastructure, a health care system that is affordable and covers everyone, and an end to our dependence on foreign oil.

These are tough times and there will be difficult days ahead.

There are some who are tempted to give up hope and let their frustrations divide us rather than bring us together to face these challenges. This state is great because of those differences. It is a state where the son of a working class family can get an education and then have a chance to serve his state. It is a state with great beauty and traditions. We must not lose sight of that history, and we must never lose hope.

Thank you again for your support and for the chance to fight for you in Washington.

Sincerely,

Jack
