Issue Position: Family Values

My inspiration to run for this office stems from a love for my family and my country. My twin daughters surprised us, coming to this world after only 25 weeks of pregnancy. I witness the miracle of life every day when I see these two beautiful, energetic girls who did nothing but fight as true New Yorkers should from Day One.

* I consider myself pro-life and will support an open dialogue between pro-life and pro-choice movements (Both sides want to see an end to abortions, so its important that we explore alternatives and prevention)

* I support promoting options like adoption and improving foster care.

* I am vehemently opposed to partial-birth abortions after seeing my girls survive a second trimester birth.

* I will vote down any measures that provide public financing for abortions.
