I think the three most pressing issues are jobs/economy, health care and the environment.

I am committed to ensuring our nation's long-term fiscal health by supporting budget priorities that fund vital Federal programs, and by supporting reasonable tax relief for American families.

I will continue my work in the First District to develop the business, economic and training opportunities for our residents to get stable, well-paying jobs, and to protect small businesses, which employ nearly half of all workers and create three out of four new jobs.

I will work to pass a prescription drug benefit that helps people afford their medications, unlike the recently passed Medicare bill. I will continue to fight to protect our remaining wild places by passing the Colorado Wilderness Act, which I introduced in 2003. It provides permanent protection for over 600,000 acres left exposed to energy development, off road vehicle use, and other industrial development.
