Help for Homeowners Facing Foreclosure

Reps. Baldwin & Ryan to Intro Free Workshop

Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) will introduce a free workshop for homeowners hoping to prevent foreclosure and minimize financial loss in the current economic climate.

The "Homeownership Preservation and Foreclosure Prevention Workshop" is free and open to the public on Monday, June 30th from 9 AM - 3 PM at the Blackhawk Technical College, 6004 South County Rd. G, Commons - Lower Level, in Janesville, WI.

Reps. Baldwin and Ryan will welcome participants at 9 AM and speakers from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and University of Wisconsin Extension (UWEX), among others, will make a 45 minute presentation entitled "Keys to Preserving Homeownership." Following the formal presentation, representatives from financial institutions will be on hand to offer on-on-one counseling to individuals.
Baldwin and Ryan, who represent south central and southeastern Wisconsin respectively in Congress, will launch the first in a series of consumer events that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (FRBC), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and University of Wisconsin Extension (UWEX), will be conducting throughout Wisconsin to assist homeowners in financial crisis.
