Smith Statement on Storm Damage

Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today released the following statement regarding yesterday's severe storm damage to central Nebraska and surrounding areas

"My thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by last night's storms. As our communities take stock of the damage done, we will come together as Nebraskans - helping our friends and neighbors.

"I want to thank the local police departments who did a tremendous job last night, maintaining public safety and responding to the crisis. Also, I want to thank NEMA for their continuing efforts to help Nebraskans in this time of need.

"As the total economic impact of last night's storms becomes evident over the coming days and weeks, I remain committed to ensuring our communities have the resources they need to fully recover."
