MR. KILMEADE: Gretchen, Chicago's O'Hare Airport, as you know, could have used some extra security this week when 36 workers were found to be using phony ID badges, 34 of them in the country illegally. If they could infiltrate the airport, what about potential terrorists? And then we've got all that warnings about malls today.
Here with some answers from the House Homeland Security Committee is Bennie Thompson in the Chicago area, as well as Congressman Mark Kirk.
All right, Congressman Thompson, first with you: What surprised you most about this, that they were working there or that it took this long to find out they were working there?
REP. THOMPSON: Well, both, as well as that many of them were illegal. The issue for most of us is that how can a temporary agency use fake IDs and have people in sterile areas? It was absolutely something that should not have happened.
MR. KILMEADE: Congressman Thompson, you called this -- you also called it terrifying.

MR. KILMEADE: ...And Chairman Thompson, do you also think there's a problem there with private contractors?
REP. THOMPSON: Well, there's no question the one thing we're going to have to do is go to a biometric identifier for everyone who work at airports. As long as we're using the present system of identification, it can be compromised. Biometrics is absolutely the way to go, whether you use an eye scan or fingerprint, but clearly we have to move forward to next-generation technology if we're going to really get secure in our airports and other modes of transportation.

MR. KILMEADE: Chairman, do you also make this a priority this coming week?
REP. THOMPSON: Absolutely. There's no question individual airports are responsible, but there is some federal responsibility in this, too. I'll be filing a bill very shortly requiring everyone to have that biometric identifier and identification card. We just absolutely have to have it.
MR. KILMEADE: I'm going to surprise you both with a question. I'm hoping you'll help me out here at the bottom of the hour on a lighter note. We're asking favorite movie lines -- things that keep running in your head, even if you don't say them out loud.
Congressman Kirk, put the Republican aside; be politically incorrect, if you will. Tell me your favorite movie line.
REP. KIRK: Caddyshack: "You went to the top of the mountain and you shall have inner peace." So I got that going for me.
MR. KILMEADE: Congressman Thompson, do you want to take his line or come up with your own?
REP. THOMPSON: "Make me an offer I can't refuse." The Godfather.
MR. KILMEADE: Very impressive. (Laughs.) We're going to put that into the hopper and find out what everyone thinks.
Thank you so much, Congressmen, for joining us. Have a great weekend.
REP. THOMPSON: Thank you.
