Moran Statement on the Resignation of Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jerry Moran today released the following statement on the resignation of U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns.
"I appreciate the close working relationship I have had with Secretary Johanns. The Secretary was very active and engaged in the farm bill debate. I appreciate his time traveling across the country to meet with farmers and ranchers, including a visit to Kansas two years ago. I do not foresee any complications caused by the transition at USDA, but continue to be concerned by the inaction of the U.S. Senate on the 2007 Farm Bill.
