WALBERG STATEMENT ON SEPTEMBER 11TH ANNIVERSARY

Washington, Sep 11 - U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI) today issued the following statement on the sixth anniversary of the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001.

"It has been said that ‘America is great because America is good.' On September 11, 2001 and in the days and months that followed, the goodness of America shown through and provided a ray of hope that enabled America to persevere through the darkness of a catastrophic national tragedy.

"Today, we grieve and pray for families impacted by this tragedy, recognize the heroes who shed blood to save others and pay tribute to the men and women who protect our country and keep us safe so we can live free of fear.

"As we honor the lives tragically lost six years ago, let us also remember the unity and resolve all Americans felt on that fateful September morning."
