WICKER: APPROPRIATIONS BILL HAS FUNDS FOR MISS. PROJECTS
The U.S. House of Representatives has approved legislation that includes funding for health and education projects in north Mississippi, U. S. Rep. Roger Wicker said.
The funds are contained in the 2008 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education appropriations bill, which won House passage Thursday. Rep. Wicker is a member Appropriations Committee. "We were fortunate to secure significant resources for important initiatives in Mississippi," he said. "They include programs to improve health care and enhance educational opportunities."
