Newsletter for July 6
By: Rep. Aderholt
Dear Friends,
Over the last several years, technology has advanced at incredible rates. Today we communicate instantly, enjoy greater access to information and resources than ever before and do all of this from just about anywhere. And in most cases we can do all of this more cheaply than ever before.
As the representative for the people of the 4th District of Alabama, one challenge is communicating what's happening in Washington D.C. to those back in the District.
I continue to examine areas of how to do a better job of communicating with you and making our office more efficient. As part of this process it was important to be able to provide up-to-date information in a way that was readily available to anyone looking for it. I also wanted to take advantage of technological advances and save money wherever possible by using more of the internet's capabilities.
After establishing these goals, I reached the conclusion that much of this could be accomplished by updating and expanding the official congressional website for Alabama's 4th District. Today I'm pleased to share these efforts with you and invite you to explore our new "online office" at http://aderholt.house.gov.
I believe that you'll find this new website to be easier to navigate so that you can quickly find the information that you're looking for. That includes new sections, such as:
Where I Stand - Here you'll find information letting you know more about my core beliefs and how they shape my views on many of the issues that have come before Congress over the last several years.
Legislative Priorities - Thousands of bills are introduced in Congress each year. This section details a few legislative priorities and related bills that are pending before Congress.
Legislative Initiatives - This section has links to all of the legislation that I've sponsored or co-sponsored since I've been in Congress.
Constituent Services - A large part of what our office does is to provide various services to constituents of the 4th District. From ordering a flag flown over the Capitol to getting information on how to apply for federal grants to helping an individual with their Social Security, you'll find all of the resources you need here.
Contact Me - It's important that I know what people in the 4th District are thinking. To that end I've made it easier to send emails, call, fax or write any of our congressional offices.
I hope you'll find this new website to be an asset that you can use. As technology continues to change, my hope is that this website will grow along with it. We're off to a good start and I look forward to being able to serve you in new and exciting ways.
Sincerely,
Congressman Robert Aderholt
Alabama's Fourth District
