U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today announced his support to improve problems with the immigration system in America, by co-sponsoring H.R. 938, the Nuclear Family Priority Act.
The legislation, introduced by Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA), amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to replace existing family-sponsored immigrant categories with a preference for spouses and children of permanent resident aliens.
"We have problems with an immigration system when 2nd cousins and in-laws of legal immigrants to our country are given green cards while husbands, wives, and children remain separated," Boozman said. "The glut of this chain migration' of distant relatives presents a challenge to our immigration services and our security."
