Education Reform

Education Reform

My first elected office was the Rogers School Board. I know first hand how important it
is to move decisions out of Washington and back to the local people who are most
concerned with the education of their own children. The "No Child Left Behind Act"
was one of the first bills I helped pass after I was elected to Congress. It increased the
power of local school officials to make key choices, and increased their accountability for
those decisions. It is working, with test scores up in the Third District and nationally. I
will work to build on that success.
