Press Release - Bryson Wins Primary
Will hit 95 counties in 30 days on Jim's BIG TENNESSEE bus tour
(NASHVILLE, TN) - State Senator Jim Bryson (R-Franklin) today won the Republican nomination for Governor in a crowded field and announced the start of his 95 county, 30 day bus tour across Tennessee.
"Our job tonight is to turn this victory into the first step on a road that leads straight to new leadership in the Governor's office," said Sen. Bryson during his acceptance speech. "We are going to gather up all the Tennesseans who know this state can do better, from Memphis to Mountain City. With your help, we will have a state with a government as good as its people."
"Over and over and over again, as a state Senator, I saw what it meant to have our state in the hands of a Governor who ignored more problems than he tried to solve. Tennessee needs a proactive Governor who will make Tennessee a state that illegal immigrants avoid and legal immigrants seek; where every child graduates from high school; where the most vulnerable find compassionate care; and a state where taxes are low and spending is under control."
Sen. Bryson also announced his Big Tennessee bus tour that will visit all 95 counties in 30 days. It will begin on Friday.
"I'm going to every one of our 95 counties listening and talking to people who want a Governor with a big vision, a big heart, and a big stick to end corruption," said Bryson. "No one will outwork me and on November 7, we'll win a victory for all those Tennesseans who know that working together we can make big things happen.
