Burns Statement On The Killing Of Al-Quaida Terrorist Aby Musab Al-Zarqawi

(Savannah, Georgia) - Max Burns, former Congressman and candidate for Georgia's New 12th District, today released the following statement following the death of al-Qaida terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi:

"Today's attack killing al-Qaida terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi marks a significant victory in the War on Terror. al-Zarqawi's death sends a message to terrorists around the world that our resolve and determination is still strong. The United States is committed to victory and ridding the world of terrorism once and for all.

"While we are winning this war one day at a time, it's extremely important that we finish the job. Our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan have done a great job and continue to do a great job and America is proud of them today."
