Ms. DEXTER. Mr. Speaker, this past weekend, I stood in Montgomery, Alabama, on ground that has absorbed the blood, tears, and sweat of people fighting for equal rights and felt the full weight of this moment.

Around me were civil rights activists, elected leaders, and organizers on the front lines fighting against racist redistricting and gerrymandering, a fight the Supreme Court has made harder and more urgent.

From the Northeast to the West Coast, Members of Congress showed up in solidarity and to say: We are not going back.

The people of Montgomery courageously led this Nation in the fight against segregation and Jim Crow. They will not stand alone now.

We will fight back, and we have the playbook in front of us.

This fight is won in courtrooms, at kitchen tables, at the ballot box, and in the streets. It is won by people who refuse to be quiet. That is what Montgomery has taught us, and that is exactly what we are going to do.

Get loud. Stay loud. Do not stop.
