Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) announced his support for the American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act. The ACE Act is a comprehensive plan to repair election administration and integrity issues and protect free speech while respecting the Constitution and conservative principles.
Rep. August Pfluger: "The future of the United States depends on secure elections, and conservatives in Congress are ready with a plan to make sure every election is free and fair. The ACE Act provides states with critical tools to secure their elections and strengthen voter ID requirements, bans non-citizens from voting, prevents taxpayer dollars from funding congressional campaigns, protects conservative voices and free speech by preventing a "Misinformation Czar,' and more. Election security is vital to the future of our nation, and I am proud to support this legislation to restore confidence in our voting system."
The ACE Act:
Provides states with tools to improve election integrity and bolster voter confidence by:
Prohibiting non-citizens from voting in federal elections;
Requiring first-time mail-in voters to provide proof of ID;
Reforming REAL ID to include "CITIZEN" on all qualifying individuals' identification documents issued or renewed after January 1, 2026;
Ending private funding (aka "Zuckerbucks") for election administration.
Improves voting access for active service members.
Bars federal taxpayer dollars from going towards Congressional elections.
Protects free speech by:
Preventing the creation of any "Misinformation Czar;"
Protecting the First Amendment right to voice political views and support candidates, causes, and organizations without fear of retribution;
Strengthening state party committees and non-profit organizations.
