Rep. Mace Votes Against Reckless Inflation Bill

Press Release

Date: Aug. 12, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Today the U.S. House voted on the Inflation Reduction Act. Rep. Nancy Mace voted against the bill stating the following:

"Inflation, caused by massive spending, isn't going to be solved with more massive spending," said Rep. Mace. "Inflation caused by tax hikes isn't going to be solved with more tax hikes. And just this week President Biden claimed inflation was at 0%. It's not. But… if inflation was really at zero, then why was Congress called in to vote for a bill the left claims will reduce inflation? South Carolinians are struggling and so too are our small businesses. The Inflation Reduction Act doesn't even begin to address the major, contributing factors to inflation (spending and taxes)."
