Today, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05) provided the following statement on the Russian attack on Ukraine:
"Today's unprovoked attack on Ukraine is yet another example of Russian aggression. In the days leading up to this brazen action, the international community made genuine efforts to deescalate the ongoing tension in the region and prevent violence. I support robust sanctions to hold Russia accountable and commend the Biden Administration on its leadership and continued commitment to forging a path forward. My prayers are with the people of Ukraine and the Connecticut Ukrainian American community. I remain committed to working with my colleagues to help expedite a quick, peaceful resolution."
