After participating in the "Voices from Syria" virtual briefing hosted by Citizens for a Secure and Safe America and moderated by CNN's S.E. Cupp, Congressmen Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Brendan Boyle (D-PA), Co-Chairs of the Friends of a Free, Stable and Democratic Syria Caucus in the House, released a joint statement recognizing today's anniversary, marking eleven years since the start of the Syrian War.

"The situation unfolding in Ukraine is grim, and yet we have seen this brutality by Vladimir Putin before. For years, he has helped Bashar al-Assad kill thousands of Syrians by targeting hospitals and attacking citizens fleeing for their safety.
"Today, we remember the millions of lives destroyed by the Syrian War, we recognize the plight of refugees worldwide, and we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring these war criminals are held accountable."
