Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) released the following statement on raising the debt ceiling:

"Temporarily raising the debt ceiling is just a band-aid for a much larger issue: Washington's spending problem. Our spending is out-of-control, and no one seems to want to have the tough conversations about reining it in. Meanwhile, the President of the United States and his allies in Congress claim their $3.5T socialist spending spree costs "zero dollars.' Washington math just does not add up."
