Webster Statement on General Milley's Reported Actions

Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement on actions reportedly taken by General Milley earlier this year and last fall.

"I am very troubled by reported actions taken by General Milley last year. While I don't jump to conclusions about quotes provided by anonymous sources to partisan media outlets - if true, the actions by Gen. Milley raise extremely serious questions. The General is scheduled to testify before Congressional Committees next week. I encourage committee members to fully investigate this and the actions around withdrawal from Afghanistan. I have the greatest respect and appreciation for our military leaders, but if laws or our Constitutional system were violated there must be consequences."
