PATCHOGUE, NY - Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, just issued the following statement regarding the Biden Administration's massively flawed withdrawal strategy in Afghanistan, the country's resulting collapse, and the Taliban's rapid takeover:
"This instant, total collapse of Afghanistan was entirely predictable. This is a historic lesson on the worst possible way to execute a withdrawal. Generations from now, military leaders will be studying this disaster for guidance on exactly what not to do in this situation."
