Senator Scott Statement on Non-Existent Infrastructure Bill

Statement

Date: July 21, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) released the following statement on his "no" vote on cloture for the non-existent infrastructure bill.

"Democrats forcing a vote to advance legislation that doesn't exist, with no plan to pay for it, is emblematic of what is wrong with Washington. Instead of focusing on creating a common sense plan to address our country's infrastructure needs, my colleagues across the aisle are more concerned with rushing through this so they can focus on their $3.5 trillion tax and spending bill. We must stop the reckless spending that is bankrupting America's middle class."
