Houlahan Issues Statement on Defensive Airstrikes

Today, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) issued the following statement:

"The targeted airstrikes in the Iraq-Syria border region appear to be in direct and proportional response to a threat against U.S. military interests and personnel," said Houlahan. "The President has the responsibility to protect our troops, stationed both here at home and around the world, and this mission seems to be in service of that responsibility. What must happen with expediency is a briefing for members of Congress. I serve on both the Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees, each of which have national security priorities. I know I speak for many of my colleagues when I say I expect to hear from the Biden Administration on these targeted strikes as soon as possible."
