Today, U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-39) released the following statement on the Equality Act:

"I believe all people should be treated with kindness and respect and that all Americans should have the opportunity to succeed and achieve their dream just like I did. However, the bill on the House Floor today undermines Americans' religious freedoms, limits protections for people of faith and opens the door to ending the decades-long bipartisan Hyde Amendment. I will continue to work to promote equality and equal access to opportunities for Americans of all backgrounds," said Kim.
