Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) continued her work on conservation issues Friday and voted to protect 3 million acres of wilderness from destructive development.

"I promised the Lowcountry I would defend the natural beauty we love and depend on. Yesterday, I kept this promise.

"The conservation of the splendor of nature has an impact well beyond the Lowcountry. This bill ensures millions of acres of forests, rivers, and plains are kept whole for generations of hunters, fishermen, and nature-lovers of all kinds.

"I look forward to continuing my work on conservation issues important to all of us."
