Senator Loeffler Statement on COVID-19 Relief

U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) issued the following statement after Democrats doubled down on their refusal to negotiate targeted COVID-19 relief:

"Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have shamelessly put politics over helping Americans since day one of this pandemic, and today's news that they are continuing to hold up relief is appalling," Loeffler said. "Democrats have repeatedly blocked relief for working families, businesses, schools and communities while trying to score political points and fund massive blue state bailouts that help their liberal megadonors but leave average Americans out to dry.

"Americans need the kind of targeted, commonsense COVID relief that my fellow Republicans and I have been trying to pass for months -- including additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program, expedited vaccine distribution and additional resources for our schools.

"Too many Georgians -- and too many Americans -- are suffering. It's time once and for all for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to put politics aside and join me and my Republican colleagues in delivering real relief that the American people so desperately deserve."
