Issue Position

The environment is our home, we should be aggressive on the policies that protect it- both in energy use, but also how we preserve our beautiful lands and parks. We should invest our public dollars into green jobs and clean energy for the future. Now is a critical time to enact the recent Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act. There are still rules to draft, studies to finish, hearings to hold and a new agency to be set up, and I look forward to being part of this process for we must invest our public dollars into green jobs and clean energy, we must expedite green shovel-ready projects that will create thousands of jobs and worth of billions of dollars. We must be bold and become a national leader.
