Issue Position

Adequate housing and support services are directly linked to reducing inequality in our city and key to addressing the homelessness crisis.
Rebecca is a member of ETHOS, the Eastside Taskforce on Homeless Outreach Services, aimed at making services available and continuing the fight to end homelessness.
Rebecca supports the proposed comprehensive $450 million Statewide Homelessness Reduction Plan (SHARP) which provides funding for counties to secure permanent housing instead of emergency shelter alternatives.
Rebecca cosponsored legislation to provide feminine hygiene products at no cost to menstruating individuals in homeless shelters.
Rebecca cosponsored legislation creating the incentivizing habitability opportunity program, which provides an incentive to property owners who enter into a residential lease or rental agreement with an eligible household to address homelessness and ensure habitability standards.
