I'll fight to keep the state from cutting the crucial services that families need right now.

Now is the worst time to make budget cuts to schools, affordable housing, health, and other systems that we rely on.
We need to support the families that have been hit hardest by COVID-19, and that means increasing investments in rental assistance, unemployment benefits, health care, and more.
We must raise the resources necessary for these critical investments in fiscally responsible ways. First, we should ask those at the very top to pay their fair share by taxing Rhode Island's wealthiest residents more progressively -- after all, they just got a huge tax cut from the Trump administration. Second, we can move money away from the most costly parts of the criminal justice system that just aren't working to keep our communities safe.
