In the Senate, George is a fierce advocate for the people of the 57th District and will pursue his goals with the same spirit of collaboration and communication that defined his local government tenure. Among his priorities: efforts to ease New York's high tax burden to help stem the outflow of jobs and residents from upstate New York; legislation to help the agricultural community (George now serves as Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Committee), particularly small family farms who are struggling to stay afloat; and workforce development initiatives to ensure young people have access to good-paying jobs and employers have the labor they need to operate and grow their businesses.
