Jenifer has been a strong advocate for gender pay equity. It is a basic American value that anyone who does the work should be fairly compensated. New York's pay gap for women stands at an average of 87 cents on the dollar. This is the second-smallest gap in the nation after Washington, D.C., but New Yorkers can and should do better. On average, women earn less than men in nearly every occupation, despite the fact that women are almost half the workforce and are equal or main breadwinners for 4 out of 10 families.
Jenifer advocates for new and innovative ways to tackle the gender page gap. One such way is salary and compensation transparency, compelling private employers to go public with these stats. Read Jenifer's opinion piece in the New York Daily News about how to tackle the gender pay gap
