As Director of Immigration Affairs for New York State, Jenifer led a first-in-the-nation $31 million dollar state-led public-private project to ensure immigrant New Yorkers state-wide had access to a lawyer in immigration proceedings.
The 38th Assembly District is at least 70% immigrant, and Jenifer is better prepared and poised than any previous elected official to address the concerns and needs of these communities. Jenifer believes that all people on American soil should be shown a basic level of respect and dignity and given due process of law, in accordance with the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution.
Those who are willing to work hard and contribute to our state's economy deserve their due rights and privileges. Jenifer has also actively fought against hate crimes and antisemitism. She believes in decency and respect towards all. Hate has no place in Queens or in America. As an expert in immigration, Jenifer will ensure that the immigrant communities in the 38th Assembly District will have a voice, an ally, and access to justice.
