Issue Position

Newport and Jamestown are already feeling the effects of climate change. Dawn is committed to supporting renewable energy development, energy efficiency projects, green infrastructure and proper planning that helps small businesses and residents recover more quickly from coastal flooding and storms. In her first term, Dawn introduced legislation opposing dangerous off-shore drilling along our coasts and shorelines, opposed the expansion of carbon-based energy sources, and championed renewable energy efforts.
