Issue Position

Contaminated drinking water is not a new issue for our district. Our local fire fighters and volunteer groups have gone above and beyond the line of duty to ensure that our families have access to clean water. We need to make sure our people have a reliable water supply, effective water treatment and fast clean up options.

Pikeville and the Mountain Water District do a great job providing needed services to keep the lights on and water running during crisis. Our local teams worked tirelessly during disaster situations, but it is still sometimes difficult to access clean water. This issue is, and will continue to be, a priority of mine in Frankfort.
