As Freeport Town Council Chair and an at-large Councilor for six years, I am mindful that spending directly affects everyone in our community. Successfully keeping the municipal side of the budget balanced while funding needed infrastructure and services were key results of my service. I focused on data-driven decision-making to build support for important initiatives benefiting our community. I have directly worked with many of the economic issues on the forefront of Maine's next legislative session, including the evaluation of health and human services programs, the impact of municipal revenue-sharing shortfalls on our property taxes; and initiatives such as flexible pension plans to support workers. I will bring this economic common sense experience to work for you in Augusta.
