Senator Cyrway is committed to keeping Maine safe. He is a strong voice against drugs, actively working to ensure that people are educated about the dangers of drugs and that they are kept out of the hands of Mainers - especially youth. He also works to ensure that the dealers who try to spread this poison are held accountable.

Senator Cyrway is also active in promoting policies that protect the law enforcement officers who keep us all safe. In 2015, he sponsored legislation to create a Blue Alert program in Maine. Senator Cyrway has been successful in getting legislation passed to strengthen Maine's sexual assault laws, specifically to protect students. To protect our youngest, he led the way in strengthening Maine's carseat laws. As a member of the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee and the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee, he has advocated hard every day for policies that keep Mainers safe.
