Karla is a firm defender of the 2nd Amendment and understands the importance of preserving our constitutional rights for future generations of Missourians. That's why she will proudly defend the 2nd Amendment against liberals who would limit the gun ownership rights of law-abiding American citizens.

The Framers of the Constitution couldn't have made it any more clear: "The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." They understood that the God-given right of the people to bear arms is key to protecting our other rights and liberties. The 2nd Amendment is about more than guns. It's about freedom.

When our elected officials take their oath of office, they commit to upholding the Constitution -- and that includes the 2nd Amendment. There's no picking and choosing when it comes to what parts of the Constitution political leaders are supposed to defend. Karla strongly believes that any individual who will not stand by the 2nd Amendment as the Framers intended it is doing his or her constituents a disservice.

Now more than ever, it's important that our leaders have a whole-hearted commitment to defending the 2nd Amendment. The gun control lobby, aided by left-wing media outlets, is waging an unprecedented war against our natural and constitutionally-protected rights. You can be sure that as our State Senator, Karla will stand by her convictions and by the Constitution no matter what gun control advocates throw at her.
