Karla believes in strong local control of our schools and in more resources for the classroom and less for the bureaucracy. She believes there is too much focus on money, politics and policies that are not helping improve our schools. Instead Karla wants to focus directly on the classroom, holding educators accountable and supporting them with the tools, freedom, and training to better educate students.
Families are being crushed by debt to attend college for jobs that won't even exist by the time students pay their loans off -- and in some cases, by the time they graduate. Karla believes it's time to review Missouri's structure, costs, and support of higher education to reduce the financial burden on families and provide an education that will result in preparing students for the jobs of tomorrow.
