Issue Position

Florida ranks 47th in the nation in funding our public schools. Our children deserve more than the bare minimum. We have a responsibility to fund schools equitably so that all children can access their full potential. Michele will champion legislation that puts our children's future first by fully and equitably funding our public schools. Michele will file legislation that will raise teachers' minimum salary to $50,000 per year so our teachers are paid what they deserve. Michele will also vote against any legislation that puts taxpayer's dollars in the hands of operators who pick and choose the students they will accept and educate.
