Collins announces face shield donation for hospitals in northeast Georgia

Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) today announced that Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (Scotts) -- in coordination with the Georgia Urban Ag Council -- has donated over 10,000 face shields to five hospitals across Northeast Georgia. These face shields will help protect health care workers fighting on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last several weeks, Collins worked hand-in-hand with Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and the Georgia Urban Ag Council to facilitate the distribution of the face shields to Northeast Georgia Health System, Elbert Memorial Hospital, Union General Health System, Stephens County Hospital, and Fannin Regional Hospital.

"As our health care workers continue fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic, it is imperative that they have access to the resources needed to stay healthy," said Collins. "Thanks to the incredible generosity of Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and the work of the Georgia Urban Ag Council, health care workers in Northeast Georgia now have yet another layer of protection as they fight to save lives. It's the generosity of companies like Scotts that remind us we will get through this pandemic together."
