Issue Position

America is the land of opportunities, no hard working American should be too poor to meet their living expenses. One job should be enough! We must pay workers a living wage, provide paid leave (sick/family/vacation), support union rights, repeal right-to-work laws and enforce pay equity. We must also strengthen worker protections, create safe working environments, and keep our promise to our public sector employees. We must make sure their pensions are fully funded. We should extend the public sector benefits to include teachers and school district employees.We need economic development to create jobs in order to lift millions out of poverty. As your state legislator, I am committed to implementing policies that incentivise business practices in the public's interest. In funding workforce development programs with our community colleges, we can accomplish that goal. I will encourage more public-private partnerships that will help boost economic opportunities for all Arizonans.
