Issue Position

I am fighting to secure our border and have always supported legislation that adds more protection and law enforcement along the border to protect our families from violent criminals and drug cartels. Texas is dedicating billions in state funds to secure our border with personnel, tools, and technology. This is a high priority for me especially because the Texas-Mexico border is the largest entryway for human trafficking in our nation. As a father of three, human trafficking, and specifically sex trafficking, is something that I feel passionate about effectively combating. We will continue the war on human traffickers, while at the same time provide support and care for the women and children who are victims.
