Issue Position

We are facing a climate crisis. Having grown up in Colorado, I am proud of the beauty and incredible outdoor activities that this state has to offer. As an avid biker, snowboarder, and runner, I want to do whatever I can to ensure that future generations can enjoy this state as much as I do.

We must work to surpass the state's sustainability goals while rapidly expanding our investment into Colorado's booming renewable energy economy. We must transition to more sustainable energy solutions, and in doing so, invest in new industries that will boost our economy and create new jobs for future generations to come. We have many examples in our state of the success of this transition, and as we continue to see coal plants close due to economic reasons. We need to ensure a just transition for energy workers into the new economy, so that no one is left behind. We need to protect our natural resources and public lands. Clean air and water is the right of every American.
