Issue Position

In 2019, I led the passage of bipartisan legislation to phase out old diesel truck engines in the Portland Metro area. In 2019, I fiercely championed urgent climate action legislation on the House floor for more than 6 hours to make our Oregon communities more resilient to wildfire and safeguard our drinking water. As Chair of the House Energy & Environment Committee, I will continue to hold our largest pollution contributors accountable and lead efforts to clean up our air and water.
