Following decades of disinvestment in our public schools, I fought alongside my Democratic colleagues to pass the Student Success Act in 2019. I supported significant criminal justice reform measures, proven to increase public safety, including strengthening hate crime laws and reforming youth sentencing to give deserving kids a second chance.
