The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees law-abiding citizens the right to keep and bear arms. In 2010 I earned an "A" rating from the NRA and for the past two years have fought to protect our Second Amendment rights against those who wish to restrict them. Last year I worked hard to pass a Castle Doctrine that is among the best in the nation to ensure that people have the right to defend themselves in their homes and businesses. I also worked to expand North Carolina's concealed carry laws, so that you now have the right to protect yourself at our state parks.
