Thaddeus Jones is a champion for education. While a member of the General Assembly he has sponsored and passed legislation that has brought new financial resources to our community's schools and he has been an advocate for changing the way we fund education in Illinois to ensure that every child has access to a quality education regardless of their family's income or zip code.

This year, Thaddeus introduced and passed legislation that ensures that every child in Illinois is required to learn about the important contributions of African-Americans to the history of our nation.

A former student trustee at South Suburban College, Thaddeus has worked with our community's mayors and state officials to strengthen our community college system.
