Education

One of our most fundamental responsibilities is to fully fund our public schools. We can not properly educate our children if we are not providing them all of the resources that they need. We have to invest in early childhood education, after school programs and focus on curricula like STEM that prepare our kids for the jobs of the future.

Public dollars should not be used to subsidize private schools and in Illinois we have oversaturated the market with charter schools. Kam is in favor of a moratorium on charter schools and an elected representative Chicago school board.
